Chapter 41 has sponsored several honor flights to Washington, D.C. for WWII Veterans. Ruth Stafford was one, in the summer of 2015.
We’ve supported the Honor Flight New England program, for New Hampshire WWII veterans, since the program’s inception. To date, the Chapter has contributed some $4,000 to sponsor trips to Washington, D.C. for WWII veterans, and in the last few years, for their Chapter 41 escorts.
Ruth Stafford enjoyed one of our sponsored honor flights, with Chapter 41’s President, Ray Goulet. There is a follow-up article about Ruth’s trip, which appeared in the New Hampshire Union Leader on September 3, 2015. Their article is currently not available online.
